Keneilwe Kgosikoma holds a PhD in Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics from Michigan State University in Michigan, USA. She has research interests in climate change, food security and sustainability, ecosystem services and environmental management. She has a keen interest in corporate sustainability and environmental and social impact assessment and is currently engaged in pursuing personal development in these two areas. Dr Kgosikoma’s interest in sustainability, particularly in the livestock sector, saw her undertake the role of individual country consultant for United Nations Environmental Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). This was a regional study on "Fostering sustainable transformation of agriculture in Africa through inclusive green economy: The case of the livestock value chain in Southern Africa (Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe) with the aim of drawing recommendations to facilitate sustainable transformation along different value chains, including the dairy value chain.
Dr Kgosikoma has excellent research skills, particularly in the areas of non-market valuation, and socio-economic analysis. She has worked in internationally funded SASSCAL research, assessing the market potential and prospects of indigenous fruit trees, namely kgengwe, and morama, with the objective of encouraging the communities where these resources are abundant to commercially produce these otherwise climate tolerant production inputs for sustained household income and food security. She was involved in community capacity building in product marketing and pricing under the same project. Currently, she is part of a research team exploring the development and utilization of camel milk and camel milk products, with the main objective of growing the knowledge base for the potential for the use of camels and camel products as an adaptation strategy to climate change.

Dr Baliyan holds degrees of PhD in Education (Research and Evaluation), DEd (Education Management), MEd (Research and Evaluation), BEd, MSc in Agriculture (Agricultural Economics) and a BSc in Agriculture Honours. He has about 27 years’ experience in teaching and research in the formal and informal education systems at different levels of education institutions. He has authored four theses for his two Masters and two Doctoral degrees. He has published 34 articles in peer reviewed international journals and, presented over a dozen articles in international conferences. His is specialised in quantitative research focusing on the wider areas of agricultural education and development, educational management, educational research and evaluation, secondary and higher education. He is an editorial board member of number of international research journals. He is a long serving member of the Botswana Educational Research Association (BERA) and, currently serving as the Vice Secretary of BERA

Professional Experience
Tebogo Bruce Seleka is an Associate Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the Dean of the Faculty of Agribusiness, Education and Extension. He has over 20 years of Executive and Senior Management experience in academic and policy research institutions, and over 25 years of post-PhD public policy research experience. He served as an Executive Director at the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis for 10 years between 2010 and 2020 and as a Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Incomes, Welfare and Poverty Unit in the same institution between 2004 and 2010. He also held the position of Head of Department of Agricultural Economics, Education and Extension at the Botswana College of Agriculture (then Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Botswana) between 1998 and 2004, and as a Senior Lecturer (2001-2004) and Lecturer (1996-2001) of Agricultural Economics at the same institution. He was a Teaching/Research Assistant at Cornell University (1992-1995), Graduate Research Assistant at Oklahoma state University (1990-1991), and an Assistant Agricultural Economist at the Ministry of Agriculture (Division of Planning and Statistics) in Botswana (1988-1989).

Patrick Malope is an Associate Professor and Head, the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN). He holds a PhD degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Manchester (UK) with specialization in policy analysis. Patrick joined BUAN in 2021 from Botswana Institute of Development Policy Analysis (BIPDA), where he served as a Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Microeconomics Unit and later the Environment, Agriculture and Natural Resources Unit. Prior to joining BIDPA in 2013, Professor Malope worked for Botswana College of Agriculture (BCA) as an Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Education and Extension.

Dixon Olutade Torimiro (PhD) is a Federal Government Scholar and a full Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria since 2009. He headed the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from 2006 to 2008, and Coordinated Pre-degree Programme from 2017 to 2019. He was a Visiting Scientist at Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia, Canada (2013), Contract Professor at the Botswana College of Agriculture, Gaborone (2013-2015), and 2016 ECOWAS-AAU Fellow at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, North West University, South Africa; and Intermational Extension Scholar in Residence at the Ohio State University, Columbus, USA in 2019. He has won a good number of research and travel grants including: CODESRIA, AAU/DFID, IDRC, ESRC. Prof. Torimiro was a member of College of Research Associate, Institute of Natural Resources in Africa, United Nations University, Ghana in 2002; and member of the Board of Advisor, American Biographical Institute. He also serves as Independent Evaluation Expert to European Commission (EC), Brussels, Belgium and Association of African Universities (AAU), Accra, Ghana. He has served in about 25 universities in a good number of countries as either an external examiner, professorial assessor, visiting Scholar, sabbatical, research fellow, among others. He is currently on the Board of Trustees, Crawford University, Igbesa, Nigeria and on the academic list of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Gaborone.

Have had opportunity to be at positions of responsibility as Senior Teacher, Deputy Headmaster, Senior Education Officer (In-service training), Principal Education Officers (Pre-service): Overseeing practical subject at Colleges of Education in Botswana and currently HoD in the department of Agricultural Education , Extension and Rural Development.
Have had the opportunity to lead Agriculture National Panel (2019-date) for the development of the Multiple pathways Agriculture Curriculum and serves in the Agriculture Advisory Committee at Botswana Examinations Council. Led development of academic programmes in the department
